How we test your eyes
Your eyes are the most complex organ in your body after your brain. We take the time to really look behind the scenes.
We’ll examine every layer of your eye tissue to get a detailed picture of what’s going on. We often pick up things less-thorough examinations might miss.
The main tests we undertake
We get a detailed 3D picture of the back of your eye, using Optical Coherence Tomography and Optomap imaging.
These tools allow us to capture 80% of your retina, unlike regular optical tests that cover just 15%.
With this information, we can quickly identify and advise you on conditions such as macular degeneration, central serous retinopathy and glaucoma.
Healthcare referrals & personal advice
We’ll chat through your prescription, diagnosis and treatment options in detail. Whether you need glasses, sunglasses, lenses or contacts, we’ll help you make the best decision for the health of your eyes.
Eye Conditions and Treatments
We can treat some conditions, such as dry eye syndrome, on-site. For any specialist treatment or corrective surgery, we’ll refer you to the right experts.
Through our partnership with SpaMedica (NHS), we’ll make sure you get support quickly. We’ll also help to coordinate your care, so you’re never left waiting.

This will all depend on your individual circumstances as it could be anything from 6 months to 2 years. After your thorough eye examination your optometrist will advise what is best for you.
Yes, an eye exam can reveal signs of other health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol. Our optometrists are trained to identify these indicators and will advise you accordingly.
